Pearl Pirate Park

Central MS - SUPER SLAM #2 - Presented by Triple Play Sports

Apr 11-13, 2025

Flowood Park Info

If you have played in Flowood this Spring then you know the pickle ball courts & playgrounds have been under construction, therefore closing the main entrance.

That entrance is now open & that is the entrance that needs to be used.

The alternate entrance will be closed at the cul-de-sac & you would have to turn around.

Also, remember there is a zero seed policy for players, coaches, fans, etc.

Thank you & good luck today.

Below is a clarification on the policy at Pearl Pirate Park and pets.

Per the City of Pearl, no pets/dogs are allowed at Pearl Pirate Park. Exception: Only ADA approved service animals are allowed. These animals must be clearly marked as an ADA Service Dog and must only be there for those with disabilities.

Again, any service animal must be ADA approved and that identification must be visible to the public eye.

Finally, no pit bulls under any circumstance are allowed in the park per the City of Pearl.

Thank you and we apologize for any confusion.

GENERAL GAME PLAY RULES

For a complete list & explanation of Grand Slam MS rules, please click on the link below. These rules could vary from the rules on the Grand Slam Sports Tournaments website. The rules listed below in the event info are NOT all of the rules!! Click the link below!

Grand Slam MS Rules

GRAND SLAM SPORTS TOURNAMENTS HAS INSTITUTED A RULE KNOWN AS THE "COACHES/UMPIRES LINE" RULE.  NO COACH OR INDIVIDUAL MAY CROSS THE 1ST OR 3RD BASE FOUL LINE AND ENTER THE FIELD OF PLAY AT ANY TIME DURING A GAME UNLESS THEY ARE DOING A MOUND VISIT OR ATTENDING TO AN INCAPACITATED OR INJURED PLAYER.  THERE WILL BE NO CALLING TIME AND SUBSEQUENTLY ENTERING THE FIELD OF PLAY TO ARGUE AN UMPIRES CALL.  YOU MAY ASK FOR TIME AND IF TIME IS GRANTED YOU ARE ALLOWED TO GO AS FAR AS THE 1ST OR 3RD BASE FOUL LINE WHERE AT THIS TIME THE UMPIRE WILL ADDRESS YOU, BUT HE OR SHE UMPIRE WILL ALSO NOT BE ALLOWED TO CROSS THE FOUL LINE TOWARDS YOUR DESIGNATED DUGOUT.  THE PURPOSE OF THIS RULE IS TO TRY AND TAKE AWAY THE "CONFRONTATIONAL NATURE" OF THESE TYPE OF INCIDENTS.  THE FIRST OFFENSE OF BREAKING THIS RULE WILL BE A WARNING AND THE COACH THEN RESTRICTED TO THE DUGOUT.  ANY SUBSEQUENT OFFENSE WILL RESULT IN AN AUTOMATIC EJECTION FOR THE DURATION OF THAT PARTICULAR GAME AS WELL AS THE NEXT GAME THE TEAM IS SCHEDULED TO PLAY.

Conduct

  • Coaches, if we have to remove one of your fans from the complex, the head coach will also be ejected for that game. Fan will not be allowed to return for that event.

  • Any pattern of badgering of an umpire, other fans, coaches, players, directors, gate workers, etc...will result in being escorted from the park by the local PD. Coaches/Spectators, if you put your hands on an umpire/tournament staff, you will be prosecuted & vice versa for umpires/tournament staff to coaches/spectators. Tournament Directors have the discretion to have anyone removed from the park.

Rosters

  • Event Rosters will be enforced. It's up to you to double check them & if you are having any issues you need to let us know. We encourage you to move players from "Pending" to "approved".

  • Players that show as "pending" are not ineligible.

  • Any other protest that isn't a player eligible protest, must be done between the first pitch of the game and end of the game(unless the last out of the game causes a protestable situation,in this case the coach who wants to protest must call it to the umpires attention before they leave the field). You get the $300 back for a successful protest.

The locations will be Pearl, Quarry, Flowood, Freedom Ridge, & Jackson Prep, if other venues are needed it will be local.

Please pay close attention to the following.

There are over 170 teams playing in this event.

Local teams need to be prepared to play Friday night. The event won't work unless we play Friday night. If you are not local, you won't play Friday night unless requested.

All teams need to be prepared to play early Saturday despite any request that may be in the portal. If local teams are playing Friday night, someone else has to play the early games.

There most likely will be bracket games on Saturday night for most divisions.

We did open the schedule request portal but please understand this, we will schedule the event how we need to in order to make the layout work.

Maybe for this event teams who have soccer players can ask the soccer events to work around baseball for a change. It's not our responsibility to work around soccer.

That being said, we always have & will continue to do so but these large events make it harder to do so please be understanding.

Use this schedule request link to put in your request & let us know if you want to be one of the teams chosen to play Friday night. Please note, event if you play both games Friday doesn't mean you won't have to play Saturday in a possible bracket game.

Again, to be clear, even though the request portal is open does not mean we will be able to accommodate the request.

Teams who have not paid will be receiving an email from Grand Slam asking them to confirm they are playing. DO NOT respond to this email to confirm. This is not the confirmation email. The confirmation email will be sent to Team admins and there will be a link to confirm.

Confirmations must be in by end of Monday.

The schedule will be released Tuesday.

All teams are expected to prepay for this event once the schedule has been published.

If your team is no longer planning to play in this event, use this link as a guide on how to withdraw.
